Films must take place in Normandy, or be made by a norman director or produced by a norman society or  supported by the Regional Council

• Completed after 1st January 2010

Short films must present an interest for a public of children aged 3 to 15.

- Completed after november 2010
- maximum duration of 25 minutes
- film not previously submitted to the festival.

2 - Panorama (out of competition section) :

- Completed after november 2010
- duration: 1 to 59 minutes
- Screening format for theatre :  35 mm or digital file (.mov, mpeg 2 ou mpeg 2 HD)
- Non french-speaking films have to be French subtitled

maximum duration :  60 mn.

The object of the Cinéjazz short film competition, is to present and highlight films, about jazz or with a jazz soundtrack, that reveals talent and deserves encouragement.

film must comply with the following conditions:
- made during the 24 months preceding the Festival
- does not exceed 15 minutes in running-time
- comes from any country
- Screening format :  DVD or 35 mm
- Movies must be in French or, subtitled or dubbed in French

Great Region :
films shot in Saarland, Lorraine, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Wallonia, French Community of Belgium, speaking community of Belgium.

All films that are not in French language must have a dialogue list in the original language AND in English uploaded. (upload in step 5.2).
If possible, please send also a French dialogue list in the same file.  
Films with dialogues neither in French nor in English must have subtitles, in at least one of the two languages, English and/or French (in ideal case, both languages). Furthermore the dialogue list of the language not being subtitled has to be uploaded:
- French dialogue list if the film has English subtitles
- English dialogue list if the film has French subtitles

Finally, if French filmmakers are selected for the official competition, they must send a copy with English subtitles, if it is not already the case.

Warning !!  two deadlines for the submission whether your film was completed in 2010 or in 2011:

- FOR THE FILMS COMPLETED IN 2011 the deadline for entries is May 1st 2012. The PDF entry form of the on-line submission, printed, dated and signed must be sent with 2 DVDs of the film (one of them is for the Film Market) and must be postmarked May 31th 2012 at the latest.

- FOR THE FILMS COMPLETED IN 2012 the deadline for entries is July 15th 2012 (even for films that are not
entirely completed). The PDF entry form of the on-line submission, printed, dated and signed must be sent  with 2 DVDs of the film and must be postmarked July 31th 2012 at the latest.

The International Short Film Competition is open to :
- 35 mm, DCP Beta num and HD Cam
- a running time not exceeding 30 min,
- completed after January, 1st 2011.

For selection, 2 (two) DVD must be sent !
The tittle, name of director, running time, film gauge must be written on the 2 DVD.

FILMS USING A LANGUAGE OTHER THAN FRENCH MUST BE EITHER SUBTITLED IN FRENCH OR IN ENGLISH ( EVEN IF THE ORIGINAL LANGUAGE IS ENGLISH).
