Since 1992, Côté court has been dedicated to shortworks, taking place for 10 days in June at Ciné 104 in Pantin, in Seine-Saint-Denis (France). This year once again the Côté court festival will show what for it represents the best of contemporary creation in cinema and video-art through the Fiction competition (around 30 films), the Essay - Video Art competition (around 30 films), the Prospective Cinema competition (around 12 films over 30 minutes), the Panorama (non-competitive section, around 40 films) and the Écrans Libres (non-competitive section dedicated to longer formats, around 5 films). We encourage you to submit your films as soon as possible. Indeed, statistically, submitting your film in the last days does not give you a greater chance of being selected!

The selection is made on French or French-speaking production after January 1, 2023 and not already submitted to the selection committee.A film whose directors are French, even if the production is foreign, is considered French, and can therefore be registered.Non-French-speaking films must be subtitled in French. The Fiction category is open only to live-action fiction films. The duration of the films must be less than 60 minutes. The selected films will be divided between:- the Fiction competition,- the Prospective cinema competition, reserved for fiction, experimental, video art, essays and/or documentaries films, over 30 minutes.- The non-competitive Écrans Libres and Panorama selections, dedicated to fiction, experimental, video art, essays or documentaries films. The Côté court festival reserves the possibility, after registering a film, to have it compete in the selection it wishes (Fiction, Essay/Video Art, Prospective Cinema, Écrans Libres or Panorama) unless the applicants refuse in writing.Advertising or promotional films are not permitted.Registering a film constitutes full acceptance of the rules.Statistically, submitting a film in the last days does not give you a greater chance of being selected. We advise you to register your film as soon as it is ready and not to wait until the last week!
