Created in 2006, a year after the social revolts that set the outskirts of large cities ablaze, the Cinébanlieue festival was born from the observation that there were no major events devoted to the suburbs seen from the angle of its social wealth, cultural and economic.
For more than 10 years, Cinébanlieue has become the showcase for films shot in suburbs around the world. It also offers essential spaces for meetings between the public and professionals through conferences, debates, workshops, forums or round tables ...
