The British and Norman short film festival Fish&Films promotes cinema, and more specifically short films of all genres (fiction, animation, documentary and experimental) to as wide an audience as possible with a selection of films shot in Normandy or the United Kingdom or by Norman or Britons directors or actors. Films by Norman or British directors, technicians and actors can also compete.
The British and Norman short film festival is back! The festival drops anchor for the fourth time in its home port of Granville, from November 28 to December 1, 2024.
The festival organisers are looking for films:
- shot in whole or in part in Normandy or the United Kingdom and/or made or produced with the help of Normans or Britons;
- completed after January 1, 2023;
- up to 30 minutes long;
- subtitled, in French for British films or English for French films.
All genres of film will be considered: fiction, animation, documentary or experimental.
Video clips, institutional, industrial and advertising films are not accepted.
Around twenty films will be selected by the festival's selection committee at the end of the call. These will be included in either the competition programme or non-competition programme.
