Following the success of the previous edition held in January 2024, which attracted more than 250 people, the festival is reopening its call for entries for 2025.

The Giallo Film Festival is an international event dedicated to fantastic short films. The festival was founded in 2021 by Yan Berthemy.

Horror, science fiction, fantasy—this festival provides a platform for filmmakers who have deliberately chosen a different cinematic approach to showcase and express their work.

The Giallo Film Festival brings fantastic short films to life. It plays an essential role in the promotion and recognition of these productions that struggle to exist. It also serves as a tool to transcend the boundaries between cinematic genres.

This year, the festival is highlighting films from the female gaze, with a special award presented to a female director.

Approach: Promote the emergence of a new independent French genre cinema by presenting bold works that defy conventions. Offer a memorable visual and sensory experience by bringing unique works, previously unseen in France, and showcasing them specifically during the festival.

Target audience: Enthusiastic fans of independent horror, science fiction, and fantasy films. A cinephile audience mainly composed of young passionate individuals. It includes both a niche focused on auteur cinema and a broader audience.
