This year, Jean-Luc Couchard will be our guest of honor.
We will be pleased to offer: an afternoon at the Grand Longwy media library (F-54), an evening at the Ciné Starlight (CNA) in Dudelange (L), a date at the Villerupt town hall (F-54) and a date at L'Arche (a third-party venue for the arts, music and new technologies).
Cinephiles and neophytes, young audiences, families and enthusiasts: this festival offers you a wealth of discoveries and emotions.
Calls for films are open only to filmmakers: from Eastern France: Ardennes, Aube, Marne, Haute-Marne, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Meuse, Moselle, the European Collectivity of Alsace (Bas-Rhin, Haut-Rhin), Vosges, and the Greater Region: Germany (Saarland, Rhineland-Palatinate), Belgium (Wallonia) and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
Films in the “Amateur” category must be made by filmmakers from eastern France and the Greater Region. No genre or subject imposed. Only short fiction and animation films made between 01/01/2023 and 02/15/2025 will be accepted. The “Amateur” category will only consider films produced in an amateur context by non-professional videographers, with no production or substantial funding. Students at animation schools are asked to submit only one film per school.

Specific criteria
As specified in the rules, films entered in Filmfest must meet 3 criteria: 1/ Year of production, 2/ Country, 3/ Contact address in the Greater East Region of France. If 3/ Contact address does not correspond to the Grand Est de la France or Grande Région geographical area: this information must be sent by e-mail to the organizers at the same time as the Filmfest application, specifying: the name of the film, the region of the film and a contact postal address. Without this information, the application will be considered invalid. Only films with an address in Grand Est of France or the Grande Region will be considered.
Films in the “Professional or Confirmed” category must be shot by directors from eastern France and the Greater Region (Germany (Saarland, Rhineland-Palatinate), Belgium (Wallonia) and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg). No genre or subject imposed. Only short fiction and animation films made between 01/01/2023 and 02/15/2025 will be accepted.
