Created in 2009 by Alexandre Nicol, the Festival aims to promote fantasy and genre cinema. Each year, fifteen to twenty films are shown at the Cinema Omnia, which is located in the center of Rouen. The short films in competition will be eligible for the Piranha Alien d'Or in several categories:

The 2023 prices:

- Jury's Golden Alien Piranha

- The Audience Favorite Golden Piranha Alien Short Film

- The Golden Alien Piranha from the audience's favorite animated movie

Les films soumis doivent rentrer impérativement dans le thème du fantastique, de l'horreur, de la science fiction et de l'imaginaire. Les films qui ne respectent pas la/les thématique(s) ne seront pas pris en compte.
