Planète Jeunes Reporters is organizing the 2026 International Francophone Festival of Rural Areas: Documentaries of New Lives! This festival aims to give a voice to young people from various rural and peri-urban areas, allowing them to share their experiences by creating a 5- to 26-minute documentary. Submissions are due by July 5, 2026, to be entered into a competition that will award prizes to the best documentaries. Two categories have been created for this festival: Youth Category for young people aged 12 to 18 from Alliance Française branches, middle schools, and high schools; Documentary Filmmakers Category for young people aged 19 to 35.
