What is FIRQ+: FIRQ+ is an annual festival that aims to provide a platform for independent filmmakers worldwide to showcase their works, exploring the complexities of identity, gender, and sexuality. We want to see films that challenge norms, break barriers, and bring new perspectives on the LGBTQIAP+ experience. Why Participate? Visibility: Showcase your work to a global audience. Diversity and Inclusion: We guarantee a safe and inclusive space, with categories specifically reserved for Black, Indigenous, and Trans LGBTQIAP+ individuals. With an innovative approach, the festival provides a platform for independent filmmakers to showcase their works, exploring the complexities of identity, gender, and sexuality. Specific criteria

All submitted films must have subtitles in Brazilian Portuguese. If selected, filmmakers will need to provide, along with the film copy, a trailer and a poster for the film.
