Supported by the Hors Champs Reunion association, on the initiative of France Televisions, the FIFOI is the 3rd and last Festival of the France Televisions group in overseas France, after the FIFO in Polynesia and the FIFAC in the Antilles-Caraïbes, both real highlights for documentaries.
The FIFOI is unique in that it also showcases fiction, short films and animation, reflecting the vibrant film scene on Reunion Island.

The International Indian Ocean Film Festival's vocation is to highlight the cinematic creativity of the Indian Ocean and the emergence of new talent, stories that honor the cultures and histories of the Indian Ocean territories. Films that offer a unique perspective on life in our territories, using the regional languages of the Indian Ocean.
