The festival also hosts an international short film competition called the PRIX JEUNESSE, distinguished by its jury composed of several thousand young people aged 8 to 25 and above.
The PRIX JEUNESSE selection will be screened at the Grand Rex during the festival in March 2027.
The short films must relate to at least one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs cover a wide range of societal issues. Here is a non?exhaustive list of themes that the films may address: gender equality, diversity and inclusion, mental and physical health, social justice, solidarity, peace, environment, biodiversity, and more.
More information on the SDGs: https://www.agenda-2030.fr/17-objectifs-de-developpement-durable/
By entering the PRIX JEUNESSE, your short film may be selected for one of the three competitions:
• Children’s Award
• Middle & High School Students’ Award
• Postgraduate Students’ Award
The festival reserves the right to assign the film to the category it considers most appropriate.
More than 45,000 young people took part as jurors in the PRIX JEUNESSE last year.
This initiative allows teachers, librarians and youth?focused organisations to register their groups free of charge so that young people can participate as jurors in the festival’s socially engaged short film competition. Students watch the films with an adult supervisor, vote, and then take part in a civic discussion (a pedagogical kit with resources related to the films is provided).
The PRIX JEUNESSE selection will also be screened at the Grand Rex during the festival in March 2027.
The winning short films will receive their awards from young representatives of the jury.
Submissions must be made exclusively on FilmFest.
Submitting a film implies full acceptance of these regulations.
