The CLAC is a short film festival created in 2005 by Jacky Goldberg, now a critic at the Inrock'uptibles. It is organized every year by the Arts Office of EMLyon. This festival aims to encourage young filmmakers to showcase their talents and to project their films on the big screen in front of hundreds of spectators.
The festival is held over two evenings. The first one consists of a round table of speakers from the film industry discussing a social theme from the point of view of cinema. The second is the screening of the selected short films in front of the public and the members of the jury, followed by the award ceremony during a cocktail. To enter a film in the CLAC festival, filmmakers must be between 18 and 30 years old, the short film must be less than 9 minutes long (without credits) and this year the film must be closely or distantly related to the theme "Eclipse".
