In this spirit, CineMusica organizes two competitions aimed at supporting contemporary creation and revealing the talents of tomorrow.
The Short Film Competition, presented during the festival in October, welcomes films in which music plays a structuring role in the cinematic writing.
CineMusica also organizes a Music Video clip Competition, held on the occasion of Fête de la Musique on June 21, 2026, a space dedicated to audiovisual forms where visual creation and music freely interact.
Through these two competitions, CineMusica seeks to highlight emerging authors, filmmakers and musicians, and to support the emergence of a new generation of creators.
With its warm and festive atmosphere, Lisula CineMusica has become a key cultural event in Corsica, shining a light on musical cinema while celebrating the Corsican artistic heritage.
The 9th edition of the LISULA CINEMUSICA Festival will take place in L’Île-Rousse from October 13 to 20, 2026. On this occasion, the CineMusica Association is organizing the 7th edition of its competition dedicated to MUSIC.
The call for entries is open to short films of all kinds (fiction, documentary, animation, experimental, etc.) in which music plays a central role in the film’s narrative.
To be eligible, films must place music at the heart of the cinematic project: it must play a structuring role in the screenplay, the storytelling, or the mise-en-scène. Music cannot be limited to a simple sound accompaniment; it must constitute an essential element of the film, fully contributing to its meaning and artistic construction.
The mere presence of a musical soundtrack, even if prominent, is not sufficient to make a film eligible.

Specific criteria
CineMusica also organizes a Music Video clip Competition, which will take place on the occasion of Fête de la Musique on June 21, 2026.
At the intersection of rhythm, image, and cinematic writing, the music video clip explores free forms where visual creation engages directly with music. It is an audiovisual format that offers a particularly fertile ground for experimentation and creativity.
Special attention will be given to music videos accompanying original musical works.
