IMAGA: 2nd edition of the Fantastic and Fantasy Short Film Festival in Marly (Moselle)

A selection of 20 short films under 10 minutes will be shown to the public, using all techniques except generative AI.
The selection committee will pay particular attention to the originality of the entries. Whether fantastical, science fiction, dystopian or chimerical, the selected short films will allow viewers to cross the boundaries of the imagination.

The selected films will be screened on Friday 18 September 2026 at 8 p.m. at the Marlymages Cinema (doors open at 7.30 p.m.). This will be followed by an awards ceremony for the winning films.

REGISTRATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Filmmakers can register their films in the following two categories:
- Red Carpet Category: Free registration.
- Big Screen Category: Registration fee of €5 per film submitted.
In addition to the category awards, each film entered is automatically eligible for the ‘Coup de Coeur Marlymages’ award and the ‘Coup de Coeur du Public’ award (decided by a public vote during the screening evening).

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
- Films must be original and made by filmmakers from the region or elsewhere.
- Film dialogue, where present, must be in French (original language or dubbing, no subtitles).
- Films must be fiction (live action or animation) and belong to the fantasy, science fiction, dystopian or chimerical genres.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Only films shot horizontally (no vertical smartphone-style films) will be accepted. No use of generative AI.

PRIZES AND AWARDS
To be eligible for a prize, each film must be represented by a physical person during the screening evening. In exceptional circumstances, and with supporting documentation, the film's representative may participate via videoconference during the evening.

Red Carpet Category:
Imaga Red Carpet Trophy 2026: The festival's top prize on your poster, and a souvenir trophy.

In addition to the category-specific awards, each film entered is automatically eligible for the ‘Marlymages Favourite’ award and the ‘Audience Favourite’ award (determined by a public vote during the screening evening).

Bonus prizes:
- Marlymages Favourite Prize: Marlymages Trophy + screening at the MarlyMages cinema.
- Audience Favourite Prize: The festival's Palme d'Or on your poster and a souvenir trophy.

Bonus prizes:
