Festival George Sand du court métrage

The winners will be selected by a jury composed of renowned figures from the film industry and experts on George Sand, including Thomas Bidegain (screenwriter and director), Elie Girard (director), Emmanuelle Gaume (director and founder of the EICMI school), George Buisson (coordinator of the George Sand Year and former administrator of Nohant Domaine), Claire le Guillou (historian specialist of George Sand), and Delphine Mantoulet (film composer).
The official selection consists of 15 professional and semi-professional films. Specific attention will be given to emerging talent. The films will compete for 6 festival awards, including
- 2 Grand Prizes: Jury Prize, Audience Prize
- 3 Technical Awards: Best Screenplay Award, Best Directing Award, Best Sound Design Award, Best Acting Award
The prize details will be announced in early July 2026.

Specific criteria
Whether fiction, documentary or animation, the jury will select socially conscious and contemporary works that resonate with the ideas of the writer George Sand. Among these emancipation, ecology, political activism, connection to the land, legends.
The director or his or her representative must be present for the festival ceremony on October 11, 2026, in La Châtre France.
The official amateur selection consists of 5 films. Specific attention will be given to emerging talent and young people. The films will compete for 6 festival awards, including
- 2 Grand Prizes: Amateur Prize, Audience Prize
- 3 Technical Awards: Best Screenplay Award, Best Directing Award, Best Sound Design Award, Best Acting Award
The prize details will be announced in early July 2026.
