A film festival honoring socially conscious films of up to 15 minutes length, open to everyone across France, centered on the ideas of George Sand. The festival will take place on October 10 & 11, 2026, in La Châtre-en-Berry, a few kilometers from Nohant, George Sand’s residence. The films submitted must be related to George Sand’s ideas or life—emancipation, ecology, political activism, connection to the land, legends—and depict our world through the lens of her modernity.

The winners will be selected by a jury composed of renowned figures from the film industry and experts on George Sand, including Thomas Bidegain (screenwriter and director), Elie Girard (director), Emmanuelle Gaume (director and founder of the EICMI school), George Buisson (coordinator of the George Sand Year and former administrator of Nohant Domaine), Claire le Guillou (historian specialist of George Sand), and Delphine Mantoulet (film composer).

The official selection consists of 15 professional and semi-professional films. Specific attention will be given to emerging talent. The films will compete for 6 festival awards, including
- 2 Grand Prizes: Jury Prize, Audience Prize
- 3 Technical Awards: Best Screenplay Award, Best Directing Award, Best Sound Design Award, Best Acting Award
The prize details will be announced in early July 2026.
