The Clair Obscur association places urban themes and also programming for young audiences at the heart of its Travelling festival, echoing its programming, image education and cultural activities.

The ‘Junior’ section offers the opportunity to discover the diversity of cinema, past and present, through quality films of all genres, lengths and countries; to develop the imagination, nourish the curiosity of children and teenagers and awaken their critical sense in the face of images, with films to be seen before “growing up”.

The 'Tout Court ! and ‘International Junior’ short film competitions showcase the richness, vitality and diversity of recent creation!

Without any particular thematic focus, The shown movies must be adapted to children: from 4 years old for the first selection, from 7/8 years old for the second one.

> 'Tout court !' competition
Without any particular thematic focus, 'The Tout court! competition is open to french-language or French co-productions short films, accessible from 13 years old.

If the film isn’t French mandatory subtitling in English

Specific criteria

Every director or/and producer who entered a film for the preselection is responsible of the disposal of a DCP or ProRes in priority and of a French or English dialog list if the print is not subtitled, in case of selection. The festival is free to cancel the selection of a film in case of non-compliance of supports or in case of subtitles not made available for the print while the competition screenings.

The producer or the director will have to send HD pictures of the movie and of the director as quickly as possible (it is advised to give them during the inscription).
