From March 26 to 29, the 50th «Rencontre Cinematographique» will be dedicated to creative cinema and the discovery of new filmmakers, thanks in particular to the International short film competition. Emerging filmmakers will have the opportunity to «meet» renowned national film artists during the festival. Conditions : - Only first short films will be accepted - short films under 60 minutes
The international short film competition takes place during the festival entitled “51st Digne-les-Bains Film Festival”. This Encounter, which will take place from March 18 to April 1, 2025, will be dedicated to creative cinema and the discovery of new filmmakers, thanks in particular to the short film competition. Emerging filmmakers have the opportunity to «meet» renowned national film artists.
The international short film competition concerns exclusively the first fiction film made after January 1, 2024 (except for exceptions). Documentaries and school films are not admitted. The duration of the film must not exceed 45 minutes. Foreign films must be subtitled in French.The registration deadline is January 17, 2025.
The short film competition will take place on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at the René Char Cultural Center in Digne-les-Bains, in the presence of four juries, and a jury from the “prevented” public. Five prizes will be awarded.
